Stress-Free Dog & Cat Grooming in Phoenix & Glendale
Professional grooming and self-service wash options focused on safety, comfort, and quality care.
About That Crazy Dog Lady
That Crazy Dog Lady was founded in 2017 with a mission that still guides us today:to care for dogs the way we would want our own dogs cared for — with patience, intention, and respect for their safety and well-being.What started as a small grooming business built on passion has grown into a trusted name in our community.
Over the years, we have had the privilege of working with thousands of dogs — from tiny puppies experiencing their first groom, to senior dogs who need extra time, extra support, and extra understanding.
Every dog that walks through our doors is treated as an individual, not a number on a schedule.

Why We Exist
We believe grooming should never be rushed or forced. It should be handled thoughtfully, with close attention to each dog’s physical comfort and emotional state.
Our goal has always been to create a place where dogs feel safe, owners feel confident, and grooming is done with care — not pressure.
If you’ve ever had a dog that needed a little extra patience, this place was built for you.

Growing With Purpose
In 2024, we proudly expanded into North Phoenix, creating a multi-service pet care facility designed to support dogs and their owners in more ways than ever before.

This location now offers:
-
Full-service professional grooming
-
Self-service dog wash stations
-
Private rental grooming suites for grooming professionals
-
Pet retail and grooming-related amenities
This expansion was built with intention — not to grow fast, but to grow thoughtfully. We wanted to create a space that supports dogs, empowers pet parents, and gives grooming professionals a place to work safely and ethically.

How We Care for Dogs
Our approach is rooted in patience, continued education, and respect for each dog’s individual needs.
All of our team members are Pet First Aid and CPR certified, and we take continuing education seriously.
We regularly attend professional grooming classes, hands-on training, and industry seminars to stay current on:
-
Grooming techniques
-
Skin and coat health
-
Product safety
-
Humane handling practices
By staying educated, we are better able to support not only the pets in our care, but also the people who love them. Our goal is to help bridge the gap between groomer, client, and veterinarian, working together toward a lifetime of long, healthy, happy pets.

Safety Is Our Standard
We proudly work with the Arizona Professional Groomers Association to help establish and promote responsible grooming standards and safety practices within our local industry.
While we operate as a cage-free salon, we are always safety-first.
Dogs are separated by size, temperament, and comfort level.

Small dogs rest in open-top pens for protection, and kennels are always available for senior dogs, anxious pets, or at an owner’s request.
Every decision we make — from scheduling to housing — is based on what is safest and least stressful for the dog.

Our Community & Recognition
We are deeply honored by the trust our community has placed in us. That Crazy Dog Lady has received the Nextdoor Neighborhood Favorite Award every year since opening in 2017, a reflection of the relationships we’ve built with our clients and their pets.
In 2024, we were named the City of Glendale’s Business of the Week by the Glendale Mayor — an acknowledgment of our commitment to quality care and responsible business practices.
